When I first went to Dr. Deyton he asked me what I wanted to get from my dentist. I told him I wanted my teeth to be the best they can be. He has done a great job of doing that. I have learned how to care for them and he keeps them in great shape.

Let me start by saying I have a severe phobia of needles. Not just a fear, but a full blown hyperventilating tearing up phobia of needles. This being said, I also have my mother's teeth - soft. This, coupled with many antibiotics as a child, led to some major problems in my mid twenties. When the pain started I was not sure how to find a good dentist. I had moved to Kansas City, and didn't know who to ask about dentists in the area. I was blessed with meeting the community member of the dental board. She told me to call Guy. Dr. Deyton and I have worked together over the last couple of years to establish a treatment plan that worked for my teeth, and allowed me to evaluate my financial investment along the way. One of the things I value most is that he always shows me the damage to my teeth. It helps remind me that even though I don't particularly like wearing my mouth guard at night, it keeps my teeth from cracking. As for the office staff, they are exceeding kind and efficient. I truely appreciate their reminder calls, and they do their best to squeeze me in if I have an immediate need. Dr Deyton has done at least five crowns for me, a couple of fillings, and treated me for TMJ. I would recommend him to anyone!

I was looking for a dentist who practiced sedation dentistry after some bad experiences years ago...and way too long since my last visit.

Dr. Deyton never once referred to my lack of care, and told me that the past was past, and we were starting from today. What a statement to hear!

I ended up with multiple crowns, massive amounts of work, and the most pleasant experience I've ever encountered in dental care. And I no longer use sedation! Dentist appointments are no longer a chore, but a joy.

The entire staff is tremendous, the chair-side manner unmatched, and the equipment state of the art.

I highly recommend this office and Dr. to anyone who needs dental care. Their care IS ExtraordinaryCare, like their website says!

Our entire family has gone to Dr. Deyton for the last 20 years for all our dental needs. The waiting area is spotless, usually beautiful fresh flowers are all around, great magazines to read and the BEST associates to greet you. All of the staff knows each of the clients and are ready to assist with anything you need, even a nice hot cup of coffee if you have an early appt. Doc and his staff make sure you understand what is needed and what they are going to do. Doc makes sure you are comfortable at all times and that you don't experience any pain or discomfort, that puts me at ease! I will never change dentists, no need, found the best one out there! The hygienists get my teeth so clean and fresh, I actually enjoy getting my teeth cleaned and look forward to it! Doc and is staff are The BEST ever!

I have regular peridontal care, fillings, extractions, a crown and am about to have a partial plate prepared. Every procedure has been preceeded with a detailed consultation, has been pain free and carried out with exceptional care. The entire staff is totally professional, friendly and extremely competent.

For the first time in my life I enter the dental office and have no rise in blood pressure! We commuted back to Syracuse, NY for three years for regular care by a similar dental staff before discovering Dr. Deyton. Highly recommended.

Dr. Deyton and his staff are the best! I would seriously recommend this dentist office to everyone!! I can't imagine anyone going to them and not being completely satified with the chair-side manner, front desk(Julie is so great!), and the overall experience. This is the FIRST dentist office I have ever been to that was so upfront and helpful about the costs! They do not leave you in the dark about anything. And Dr. Deyton's office is really on the cunning edge of techology with dentistry. And they are so caring. I read someone else's review, and I totally agree that it is exactly like "Cheer's"....where everyone knows your name. It's hard to feel anxious/scared when you are in their care-even for me, someone who was completely afraid of the dentist due to childhood experiences with dentist. LOVE THEM!!!!

About Hygienist: They are great! I've mostly been seen by Sandy, she is so sweet. And I've seen Brooke once, too. She is equally as sweet. They are very gentle and their top concern is your comfort and happiness. So great!

In the encyclopedia under the listing for "Perfect Dentist" there is a picture of Dr. Guy Deyton [maybe not, but there SHOULD BE]. Not only is he a paragon of professionalism and dental expertise, always on the cutting edge of dental technology and techniques, but he is a tremendous humanitarian as well, supporting excellence in dentistry through his work with the Dental Association, and in working with young practitioners to help improve their skills. In terms of "chair-side manner," I cannot imagine a more genuine and empathic individual than Dr. Deyton. I once recommended Dr. Deyton to some "Dentist-phobic" neighbors of ours, and in no time they enjoyed their dental check-ups nearly as much as I do. It is traditional to dread a trip to the dentist, but I can honestly report that I actively look forward to my visits in Dr. Deyton's office. Not only is he the pinnacle of professionalism, but he recruits and maintains the highest standards in all of his staff members, every one of whom I consider a personal friend.

About Hygienist: My Hygienist is Sandy. She takes wonderful care of my teeth and gums, and is unbelievably careful to do so without causing any irritation whatever. As with everyone in Dr. Deyton's office, Sandy demonstrates genuine care about me and my family extending to our whole life experience, not merely the dental realm. If everyone was a dental patient of this practice there would be a lot less business for psychiatrists throughout the metro.

I am a returning patient of Dr. Deyton. When we changed insurance I was terribly upset, and the first chance I got I went straight back to the office. It had been years since I had been to the office and yet still everyone remembered me and was very welcoming. Not only do you feel completely comfortable in the atmosphere Dr. Deyton himself is an absoloute pleasure to be around. I had a severe toothache on a Saturday and Dr. Deyton has an emergency number not only did he get me a perscription for the pain that day, on Monday he fit me and had to do an emergency root canal for me. Any other dentist would have to fit you in at another time but he understood how much pain I was in and saw me the first thing Monday morning when the offices opened.

Dr. Deyton and his staff are all very professional and personable. My entire family (4 children and wife) all use Dr. Deyton's services. I have had around 5 crowns (a result of poor childhood dental hygeine) over the years, and while never what I would call a pleasant experience, they were installed quickly and professionally with minimal fuss. His entire staff are extremely friendly and listen to and ask for your feedback about your dental problems. All procedures and options are explained before a plan for treatment is put in place. The latest computer system really helps show/explain problems and keep track of your history tooth by tooth. Dr. Deyton always seems to be on top of technology.

About Hygienist: Sandy, 4 years, very clean and thorough, but gentle. It is always hard to talk with a hygienist since she has instruments in your mouth all the time, but Sandy seems to time her questions right and is very friendly and personable. She listens to your concerns and has quite a bit of knowledge about dental products in the market place.

The receptionist, Julie, is one of the kindest people I've ever met. She gave me a price quote and broke down what she thought insurance would pay and what my responsibility would be. She got me scheduled in a very timely fashion. I would highly recommend Dr. Deyton, and plan to go back on a regular basis.

About Hygienist: I saw both Brook and Heather. They were both extremely kind, caring and very good at what they do. They were gentle, explained procedures before they happened, and were concerned for my comfort level. Both were absolutely top notch!

I had a very painful experience having my first cavity filled at another dentist's office. Dr. Deyton was recommended by a collegue when I suddenly developed a large number of cavities. I was extremely nervous and scared. Dr. Deyton's office is top notch. I had a thorough consultation with him and his staff to discuss my impending fillings. All of my procedures were completely pain free. Dr. Deyton is very compassionate and his bedside manner puts me at ease. Although Dr. Deyton is not on my dental insurance plan, I will continue to recieve my dental care at his office. I would not trust anyone else. His office staff is fantastic. They have taken the time to get to know me and my family. They could not be more accommodating. Dr. Deyton's office has exceded all of my expectations. I am no longer afraid to go to the dentist.

About Hygienist: All of Dr. Deyton's staff is fantastic. Specifically, Heather took care of me during all of my fillings. She took the time to get to know me. She thoroughly understood all of my needs. It was so nice to have the same hygienist caring for me at all of my procedures. I was very nervous and this helped to calm my fears. Dr. Deyton is a caring dentist who is genuinely concerned with his patients. His chair-side manner is very relaxed. He treats you like a friend and not just a patient. He is very knowledgeable and very concerned about your comfort level. He lets you know up front that if you are experiencing any pain to let him know so that he can have it taken care of. I have had a root canal done and several fillings taken care of. The root canal was painless for me due to the care of Dr. Deyton. Julie at the front desk is always professional yet friendly. She treats everyone like a friend, and greets you by name when you come in the front door. They are very helpful when it comes to payment schedules and insurance help. They will try to work with you when it comes to the payment of the procedure.

About Hygienist: Usually Sandy takes care of my cleanings and x-rays. She makes me feel comfortable while she checks my teeth and cleans them. She is very gentle while cleaning my teeth, and continually asks if I am in any pain. While she is cleaning my teeth, she chats with me about anything and everything. She is very friendly.

Dr. Deyton and his staff are FANTASTIC!! Everyone is very friendly, and like "Cheers" -- everybody knows your name. I have received excellent care for many years and recommend Dr. Deyton to anyone who is looking for a dentist. His office is top-notch in terms of equipment, and Dr. Deyton has a strong commitment to continuing education for himself and his staff. He is very active in leadership within his field, teaches dental students, and gives back to his community by hosting "Give Kids a Smile" day in his office and supporting other dental charities. Dentistry is expensive -- teeth are costly to maintain, but such an important part of overall health -- and I think Dr. Deyton's fees are reasonable for the high quality of care each patient receives.
